Maths resource for children to complete one more and one less than the given number. This resource works up to numbers from 1-100 which allows children to apply their knowledge from smaller numbers to slightly larger.

Ideally a resource that you laminate for the children to fully understand the concept of number. On the resource they count the number, build it using whatever resources you have in your classroom, draw it on tens frames, write the numeral and practice the spelling. This is an updated version but I have used these in my classroom for over 4 years now and the children LOVE them for morning activites and also during a maths carousel.

Idea originally taken from Twitter. Whilst I loved the creator’s I wanted mine to be colourful in my Year 1 Classroom so I used hers for inspiration but created these with a completely different font and with colours.
